Cinequest celebrates AutoDrive

AutoDrive‘s recent screening at the 23rd Cinequest Film Festival has celebrated a huge success with organisers, fellow film makers and audiences alike.

Three near sold out screenings followed by FAQs and interviews saw producer Nicola and director Rory meet the enthusiastic crowds that praised the ‘hilarious’ and ‘original’ short thriller.

“We have had such a good time, this has been a truly unique festival where high quality films meet a fantastic intimate crowd”, director Rory tells us.

Rubber Duck Films booked to produce Downsizer

Pairing a super-current storyline that takes a punch into an alternate universe of social realism with cutting edge VFX, Downsizer promises to be the office based indie action film of the year.

Rubber Duck is overjoyed to have been chosen to produce the short directed by Joe Pavlo, notorious for his VFX work on Total Recall, Prometheus, X-men, Salt, Prince of Persia, The Da Vinci Code, Corpse Bride, Batman Begins, Star Wars and Band of Brothers (just to name a few), that will have audiences glued to their seats.

Enemy of England shot and wrapped

Political Thriller Enemy of England was shot and wrapped in a record 14 days this Jan/Feb on locations across London.

“Shooting between 4 and 12 pages a day has been tough”, director David Hawkins tells us, “but our fantastic team has pulled through despite the added freezing conditions. We should all be very proud of our achievements over the last month”.

Rubber Duck’s highly anticipated first feature film starring Jenna Verdicchio, Matthew Sim (Interview with a Vampire), Ryan Oliva, Giles Maythan, David Gillies (Skyfall) and Stephen Billington (Braveheart/Resident Evil) is set to hit the festival circuit later this year.

AutoDrive official selection of Cinequest 2013

The AutoDrive team are overjoyed to form part of the Official Selection of the Cinequest 2013 in San Jose, California.

“We are thrilled and honored to invite AutoDrive to the 23rd Cinequest Film Festival” Programming Director Bill Maxey tells us. We for one can’t wait and look forward to seeing friends and supporters in the heart of Silicone Valley.

Enemy of England in development

Political thriller Enemy of England is currently in development to be shot early 2013.

In the aftermath of a horrific terrorist attack which kills a promising prime ministerial candidate, England’s government adopts a separatist anti-EU agenda which leaves millions of first and second generation immigrants deported and families torn apart. As England clamps down further, Sophia, a senior border control operative is kidnaped and tortured to mar a further assassination attempt on the head of state.

Established director/cinematographer David Hawkins, who’s short ‘The Savior’ was nominated for an Academy Award, is teaming up with Rubber Duck Films and Think Boy Think Productions to bring the complex, gripping and highly sophisticated feature to screens in 2013.
